2019 Pecchenino Barolo "Bussia", Piedmont, Italy
ABOUT THIS WINE
Crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the Bussia MGA, particularly the Corsini locality, the vines are Guyot-trained with a density of 5,000 plants per hectare and are approximately 18 years old. The vineyard's calcareous-clayey soil, enriched with brownish marls, and its southwest exposure at an elevation of 400 meters contribute to the wine's distinctive character. Harvested in the third week of October, the grapes undergo a long, natural fermentation, followed by aging in large oak casks for 24 months and an additional 12 months in the bottle before release.

Today, the estate spans approximately 32 hectares, with vineyards in Dogliani and Monforte d'Alba. The Pecchenino family is dedicated to sustainable viticulture and producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Langhe region.
