Relentless is Shafer’s iconic Syrah–Petit Sirah blend, with the 2019 vintage composed of 89% Syrah and 11% Petit Sirah, all sourced from the rugged hills of Napa’s Stags Leap District estate vineyards. Named in honor of long-time winemaker Elias Fernandez and his unwavering dedication, the wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged for 30 months in 100% new French oak barrels. The 2019 vintage brought a long, even growing season, allowing the Syrah to develop opulence and aromatic intensity, while Petit Sirah adds backbone and inky depth. Best served with smoked brisket, braised short ribs, or lamb shawarma.
