2020 Bouchard Père et Fils Grand Cru "Le Montrachet", Burgundy, France 1.5L MAG
ABOUT THIS WINE
Drawn from the hallowed terroir of Le Montrachet, Burgundy’s most exalted Grand Cru for Chardonnay, this 2020 bottling exemplifies the vintage’s intensity and balance. Aromatically, it reveals notes of pear, white peach, Meyer lemon, acacia blossom, and almond cream, supported by hints of toasted brioche and wet limestone. The palate is commanding, with remarkable density offset by vibrant acidity and fine-boned structure. The wine was vinified with meticulous care: hand-harvested fruit, gentle pressing, and fermentation in French oak barrels (a portion new) to allow both richness and precision to harmonize. With age, it will develop layers of truffle, hazelnut, and honey. A magnum format further enhances its longevity.

Their commitment to excellence is evident in every release, but nowhere more so than in their interpretation of Le Montrachet—where the power of the vineyard meets Bouchard’s centuries-old savoir-faire.
