2021 Railsback Freres "Pour Simone" Syrah, Santa Ynez Valley, California, USA

ABOUT THIS WINE

From the Producer: "After eighteen months of élevage on our 2021 reds, we let them settle for a few months after bottling and are now excited to finally release what Eric and I think are our most exciting Santa Ynez releases to date.

In particular we are super excited about two new bottlings, both of which represent a departure in style. The first was a Syrah that we made in honor of our little Simone's birth millésime, comprised of our favorite twelve barrels of Syrah from the Nolan Ranch, and which we vinified á la Auguste Clape (entirely in whole bunches, with punch-downs twice a day, rather than only pump-overs as we did previously)."

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Railsback Frères is a partnership between brothers Lyle and Eric Railsback, focused on producing low-intervention wines that express the diverse terroirs of California. Drawing inspiration from traditional winemaking methods of France, they emphasize organic farming and minimal intervention in the cellar. Their wines, including those from the famed Bien Nacido Vineyard, are crafted with a focus on elegance, balance, and a strong sense of place. Railsback Frères has quickly garnered attention for its dedication to producing high-quality, terroir-driven wines that capture the essence of the vineyard.
