2022 Domaine de Lucey Roussette de Savoie "Les Monettes", Savoie, France

ABOUT THE WINE

Crafted from 100% Altesse (locally known as Roussette) grown on steep limestone-rich slopes at the foothills of the Alps, Les Monettes captures the cool-climate precision of Savoie with Loire Valley finesse. The 2022 vintage was marked by an early spring and long, dry summer, yielding grapes of exceptional purity and aromatic clarity. Fermented with native yeasts and aged on fine lees in stainless steel, the wine preserves its vibrant character while gaining a subtle texture. No malolactic fermentation is performed, preserving the variety’s natural acidity and tension. The result is a wine that’s mountain-born but gastronomically versatile — ideal with freshwater fish, chèvre, or alpine-style cheeses like Tomme de Savoie.

Their philosophy is rooted in minimal intervention, allowing the purity of site and grape to shine through each bottling
