ABOUT THE WINE
Movia’s 2022 Pet-Nat is a méthode ancestrale sparkling wine crafted from organically farmed Rebula (Ribolla Gialla) and Chardonnay grapes grown on the sloping hillsides of Goriška Brda, where Alpine and Mediterranean climates converge. The wine is bottled before fermentation is complete, trapping natural CO₂ to create its fine, persistent bubbles. No sulfur is added, and no disgorgement is done, leaving the wine cloudy, textured, and alive with yeast complexity. Aromas of lemon verbena, white peach, and wild fennel are underpinned by a stony salinity that speaks to the marl-rich soils of the region. The palate is both vibrant and slightly rustic, with bright citrus notes balanced by a gentle, leesy creaminess. Pair with soft cheeses, oysters, or anything grilled and green.
