2023 Trimbach Pinot Blanc, Alsace, France

ABOUT THIS WINE

100% Pinot Blanc. Varietals bought from about 70 growers are carefully selected by Pierre Trimbach during the harvests.  Grapes are gently pressed in pneumatic presses, and totally dry vinified. The clarity and purity of the fruit is already reflected in the wine. Pale yellow color with green reflections. Concentrated aromas of white flowers and apricots. Smooth, medium-bodied with crisp acidity.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Maison Trimbach has been a pillar of Alsatian winemaking since 1626, now in its 13th generation. Based in Ribeauvillé, the family has long championed a dry, food-friendly expression of Alsace’s noble varieties, particularly Riesling and Gewurztraminer. Farming is guided by sustainable principles, with many of their top vineyards—including grand crus and lieu-dits—hand-harvested and vinified parcel by parcel. The Trimbach style emphasizes purity, structure, and ageability over overt opulence, resulting in wines that are revered by sommeliers and collectors alike. Their Gewurztraminer exemplifies this philosophy: aromatic but never cloying, and always grounded in the region’s stony terroir.
