ABOUT THIS WINE
This lovely rose is composed of 65% Pinot Noir, 20% Blaufrankisch, 15% Blauer Kolner from the Štajerska region of Slovenia. This region is continental, with dry and hot summers, and snowy winters. The terraine is made up of steep-sloped vineyards and narrow, wind-rich hill valleys. A diverse geological soil composition, consisting mainly of sand and clay with marl in the lower layers. The vineyards spread out over the finest wine-growing sites of Haloze Hills as well as Slovenske Gorice. Vines are not irrigated and cultivation is environmentally friendly, following the integrated farming guidelines of Slovenia. Grapes undergo gentle pressing, without pressed juice, mainly free run. Cold fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, with battonage on the lees in stainless steel for 6 months.

The producer of the Pullus line, Ptujska Klet is the oldest winery in Slovenia - its cellars dating to 1239 lie labyrinthine beneath the streets of the city of Ptuj. Its famous wine archive contains the best vintages of the 20th century, including all vintages since 1946. Since Slovenian independence in 1991, the winery has adopted the modern practices of international winemaking, and now produces premium varietal wines and blends from grapes that are hand-harvested from the terraced vineyards around Ptuj. A diverse geological soil composition, consisting mainly of gravel and clay, with the lower layers usually covered by a layer of marl. The vineyards are spread out over the finest winegrowing sites on the hills in the area of Ptuj. The winemaker is Bojan Kobal.
