ABOUT THIS WINE

The grapes mostly come from the plateau of the Upper and Lower Artèmes. Southern exposure on sandstone molasses and limestone soil. It is the most southerly of the domaine's terroirs.

Cold skin maceration from 12 to 24 hours. Pneumatic press, fermented at low temperatures. The wine goes through 5 months of tank aging on the lees, 10% vinified and aged on the lees in 500 liters new oak barrel.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Mainly located in the town of Ménerbes, on the northern slope of the Luberon. The Domaine de la Citadelle covers eleven localities, four terroirs and climates and is divided into 74 plots. Higher-altitude vineyards with altitudes of up to 300 meters. Each plot requires precise and careful work in order to highlight the expression of the terroir and each varietal planted.

The Domaine has been certified organic since 2016 . In a constant concern for quality, the vine is trained and its yield is limited by various works ranging from short pruning to severe disbudding, or even in some years green harvesting.
