NV Drappier Brut Nature, Champagne, France

ABOUT THIS WINE

Crafted primarily from Pinot Noir sourced from the limestone-rich soils of the Côte des Bar, this Brut Nature is made without added dosage, allowing the fruit and terroir to speak clearly. The blend also includes small portions of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, depending on the base vintage.

Fermented with minimal sulfur and aged extensively on the lees, the wine gains texture and complexity while maintaining freshness and energy. Malolactic fermentation is largely avoided to preserve natural acidity and vibrancy. Expect flavors of green apple, lemon zest, almond, and a pronounced mineral backbone.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Founded in 1808 and still family-owned, Champagne Drappier is based in Urville in the Côte des Bar. Known for its Pinot Noir–focused style and commitment to natural, low-intervention methods, the house farms sustainably and uses minimal sulfur across its range. Drappier was among the early adopters of Brut Nature Champagne, and this cuvée remains a benchmark for purity, balance, and authenticity in zero-dosage sparkling wine.
