ABOUT THE WINE
Sourced from estate vineyards in Abruzzo, situated between the Gran Sasso mountains and the Adriatic Sea, this Trebbiano benefits from dramatic diurnal shifts and cooling maritime breezes. The calcareous-clay soils contribute precision and minerality, while careful vineyard management ensures balance and aromatic intensity.
Unlike many simple interpretations of Trebbiano, Tiberio focuses on the historic Trebbiano Abruzzese biotype, known for its structure, aging potential, and complexity. The 2022 vintage emphasizes freshness and clarity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with native yeasts, and the wine is aged on fine lees to build subtle texture without sacrificing vibrancy.
Flavors of citrus, pear, and almond skin unfold alongside hints of fennel and sea spray. Its bright acidity and mineral backbone make it exceptionally food-friendly—ideal with grilled seafood, shellfish, fresh cheeses, or simple Mediterranean dishes. While delicious in its youth, it also has the structure to evolve gracefully over several years.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Azienda Agricola Tiberio is a family-owned estate dedicated to expressing the true character of Abruzzo’s indigenous varieties. Founded in the early 2000s, the winery quickly gained recognition for its research into native vine material and its focus on quality-driven, terroir-expressive wines.
The estate farms sustainably, emphasizing low yields and meticulous vineyard care. In the cellar, the philosophy centers on minimal intervention and precision, allowing the purity of fruit and the imprint of limestone soils to shine. The 2022 Trebbiano d’Abruzzo exemplifies this approach—elegant, vibrant, and unmistakably rooted in its mountainous coastal landscape.
