2020 Château Lafite-Rothschild Premier Cru Classé Pauillac, Bordeaux, France
ABOUT THIS WINE
The 2020 Château Lafite-Rothschild was crafted from a blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot. Each grape variety was hand-harvested and sorted meticulously to ensure only the finest fruit went into the wine. After fermentation in stainless-steel vats, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. It was aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels, allowing for a perfect balance between fruit and oak. The 2020 vintage benefited from excellent weather conditions, with a warm, dry growing season that resulted in perfectly ripe grapes with outstanding concentration and freshness.
