2024 La Bastide Blanche Bandol Rosé, Provence, France
ABOUT THIS WINE
The 2024 vintage blends 51% Mourvèdre, 24% Cinsault, 19% Grenache, and 6% white varieties, all from certified organic, biodynamically farmed vineyards in the heart of Bandol. The fruit is hand-harvested and meticulously sorted, then gently pressed (direct press for Mourvèdre; short maceration for Cinsault and Grenache) to extract both aromatic delicacy and phenolic texture. Fermented and aged in stainless steel for up to 10 months on fine lees, this rosé is dry, medium-bodied, and deeply expressive of Bandol’s limestone and clay soils. It’s a serious gastronomic wine that pairs beautifully with grilled Mediterranean fish, bouillabaisse, roast chicken, or aged goat cheeses.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
Founded in the 1970s, Domaine La Bastide Blanche has become one of Bandol’s most respected estates, producing wines of depth, precision, and integrity. Now managed by the Bronzo family, the domaine farms organically (certified) and employs biodynamic principles to enhance vineyard vitality and site expression. Situated on clay-limestone terraces with pebble-strewn soils, the estate’s vineyards are ideally suited to Mourvèdre, Bandol’s signature grape. The estate's rosé reflects a traditional, structured style that favors complexity over simplicity—a philosophy rooted in respect for the land and time-honored winemaking.
